Establishment
Students were admitted to the Logistics Program in the 2006-2007 academic year, and instruction began in the Faculty of Engineering building on the Erciyes University main campus. Following the completion of the Vocational School building, whose foundation was laid on the Seyrani Campus on August 7, 2004, it continued its educational activities at the Develi Seyrani Campus in the 2007-2008 academic year. The Develi Hüseyin Şahin Vocational School Logistics program was established within the Erciyes University Develi Hüseyin Şahin Vocational School in the 2006-2007 academic year, and began teaching with its first students at the Seyrani Campus. Under Higher Education Law No. 7141, published in the Official Gazette dated May 18, 2018, and numbered 30425, Kayseri University Develi Hüseyin Şahin Vocational School continues its educational activities.
Degree Earned
After completing the 120 ECTS credits and graduation requirements, students graduate with an Associate's Degree in Logistics.
Program Profile
The two-year Logistics Program aims to train qualified logistics personnel to meet the changing and evolving needs of the industry. To this end, it offers core courses such as Introduction to Logistics, Logistics Management, International Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and Transportation Systems Management I and II, as well as practical courses such as professional practice and a 30-day internship. This course reinforces theoretical knowledge with practical application.
Graduate Employment Profiles
Graduates work in leading logistics companies, customs offices and customs agencies, the import and export departments of international companies, foreign trade brokerage firms, insurance companies, and the production planning, purchasing, and warehousing departments of the manufacturing sector. They can also be appointed to various institutions and organizations through the public personnel selection exam.
Transfer to Further Studies
Graduates who complete the Vertical Transfer Exam administered by ÖSYM can transfer to the undergraduate programs listed in the table of Undergraduate Programs Eligible for Vertical Transfer Based on Associate Degree Graduation Fields.
