Establishment
The Develi Hüseyin Şahin Vocational School Computer Technology program was established in the 2006-2007 academic year within the Develi Hüseyin Şahin Vocational School of Erciyes University and began teaching its first students at the Seyrani campus. Under Higher Education Law No. 7141, published in the Official Gazette dated May 18, 2018, and numbered 30425, Kayseri University Develi Hüseyin Şahin Vocational School continues its educational activities.
Degree Earned
After successfully completing the 120 ECTS credits and graduation requirements, students graduate with an Associate Degree in Computer Technology.
Program Profile
This program covers the electronic components that make up a computer and the relationships between these components, computer programming, and the techniques used in the analysis and design processes of computer systems. This program, which includes hardware, software, and related methods, places special emphasis on computer programming. This equips students with knowledge of the current and future state of the computer and software industry.
Graduate Employment Profiles
Our students graduate with the necessary skills to work as specialists in companies that develop and develop computer programs, as well as in software and hardware companies. They can work in various departments, particularly in technical services, in computer companies, as IT managers or specialists in small and medium-sized businesses, as programmers in software companies, and in companies that provide network hardware and technical infrastructure and web design. Our students graduate from university with computer expertise.
Transition to Further Studies
Graduates of this program may apply to study in undergraduate programs designated by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) upon success on the DGS exam.
