The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation aims to draw attention to global humanitarian issues through its human-centered projects. In this regard, the TRT Humanitarian Film Festival provides directors, young filmmakers, university students, and emerging storytellers with the opportunity to express their unique perspectives through cinema.

The festival, which we will organize for the eighth time this year, is a dynamic platform where your students can participate with qualified, innovative, and inspiring works. Applications may be submitted online until 15 June 2026 via trthumanitarianfilmfestival.com . Producers from all around the world will be hosted within the scope of the festival, and their works will be presented to audiences. Semi-finalists will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops conducted by leading figures of the industry. During the award ceremony to be held at the end of the festival, awards will be presented to the producers of the top three films as well as to the producers and directors who receive the TRT Special Award. Within the scope of the festival, the first prize has been determined as $10,000, the second prize as $7,500, and the third prize as $5,000.

The festival provides a platform for filmmakers aiming to shed light on global humanitarian issues such as war, conflict, women’s rights, migration, climate change, and poverty.
