KAYSERI UNIVERSITY AWARD APPLICATION ANNOUNCEMENT

Within the scope of Kayseri University Directive YG-121 on Awards, the application process for awards related to the activities of the year 2025 has been initiated in order to encourage outstanding achievements of our University’s academic and administrative staff, students, units, as well as individuals and organizations outside the University.

APPLICATION AND NOMINATION PROCEDURES

Applications shall be submitted in the categories specified in the Directive, taking into account the activities carried out within the 2025 calendar year, through the FR-748 Award Application and Nomination Form. Documents forming the basis for the application or nomination, board decisions, and supporting evidence must be attached to the form.

In teams consisting of personnel or students, the team leader and representative may submit the award application. For student awards, applications may be submitted upon the recommendation of the academic advisor and the decision of the relevant unit’s administrative board.

The names of academic staff proposed for the Institutional Contribution Award shall be determined and recommended by unit administrative boards with justified reasons. Administrative personnel working in academic units and proposed for awards shall likewise be determined and recommended by unit administrative boards with justified reasons.

Personnel to be nominated for awards within application and research centers, coordinatorships, directorates, and departments affiliated with the Rectorate shall be determined and recommended, with justification, by a commission established upon the proposal of the Secretary General and approval of the Rector (a commission consisting of three members, formed as academic, administrative, or mixed).

Application Period: April 14 – April 30

Evaluation Period: May 4 – May 18

Announcement of Results: May 22

Objection Period: June 1 – June 5

Evaluation of Objections: June 8 – June 12 Final Announcement of Results: June 19

Award Ceremony: June 26


⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES

• Applications shall be submitted electronically (via EBYS) under the coordination of our University’s Quality and Strategy Development Application and Research Center (KASGEM), to be forwarded to the relevant award commissions. In cases where electronic application is not possible, applications may also be submitted physically.

• Applications that are not submitted within the specified dates and in accordance with the procedures shall not be considered.

• Applications submitted with incomplete documents shall not be evaluated.

• In cases deemed necessary by the Senate, awards may not be granted in one or more categories or fields, even if applications are submitted.

• Award decisions become final upon the approval of the Senate.

• The type of awards to be granted (certificate, plaque, etc.) shall be determined by the Senate.

• Academic staff members may apply for more than one award category; however, each academic staff member may be awarded in a maximum of one (1) category per award period.

• Individuals or units who receive an award may not reapply for or be nominated for the same type of award for a period of two (2) years.

• Individuals to be awarded must not have committed any ethical violations or received any disciplinary penalties prior to the award.

• Administrative personnel proposed for awards must not be probationary employees.

• For scientific outputs subject to the award (such as publications, papers, books, projects, etc.), the applicant/nominee must have indicated the University’s institutional affiliation, and the outputs must be registered in the University’s AVESİS system and must have been published or officially released.
